Skip the Malecon at midday — that's when every ship's tour group converges on it. Escape valves: a full-day boat trip (Marietas Islands snorkeling, a Yelapa run, or anywhere out in Banderas Bay) gets you completely off the crowded streets, or base yourself early in a Romantic Zone beach bar and stay put.
